Rodney Williams opened his first drug store in 1987 in Rainsville and ran a successful pharmacy until 1994 when he went into the closed door pharmacy business. In 2011 he found that he really missed the interaction with patients and the everyday flow of retail pharmacy and at that time he bought Sylvania Pharmacy.

Rodney was raised in a small county general store where he learned customer service from his father, Hugh Don, and his uncles, Dewey and G.R. Williams.

At Sylvania Pharmacy, Rodney runs the pharmacy the same way Dewey Williams' Store was operated years ago in Chavies AL,

“Customers are friends and we treat them that way”.
